Blogging from Paris

blogging from Paris (but just from the airport!)
What a flight! It was very long, about 10 hours, in cramped seats. Did I mention in my last post giving up control? At that time, before the flight, did I make it sound idealistic? Humbug! Tossing and turning all night in a tiny seat isn't just loss of control, it's annoying! Still I chose this so I'm happy, more or less. Because it's Air France, the food is French and quite good. They serve champagne in flight. And the beef was tender and flavorful. But the Charles de Gaulle airport is a nightmare. Delays and little busses that wind every way around and around like Alice in Wonderland, all the while me fearing I would miss my connection to Dublin. I ran and ran through the airport, and for a wanna be world traveler I feel a little out of shape. Winded, I arrived at Gate L29 thinking the plane was about to leave but finding the staff totally unconcerned. The French seem interesting but laissez faire (is that a French word?). I'm waiting to board my connecting flight to Dublin soon. I passed up buying water or coffee because I'm saving my euros for the Dublin taxi, but also because 3 or 4 euros for a water seems a little steep. Which rhymes with cheap, by the way.
